2D Animation Game Trailers.
Don't Starve -
I like this 2D trailer because i think the background music goes well with the animation. I also like how they show the game play by warning you almost like you're a child then showing game play explaining why you shouldn't be doing things e.g don't play with fire - then an animation of the character setting the forest alight with a torch, I this makes the game trailer humerus, the only think I think this game trailer is missing is the story line/goal in the game. However they have show a good range of characters within in the game for example enemies are the spiders. This trailer remains me of a silent film them with the white text on a black background encased in a swirly frame. The graphic of this game look as if they are sketched doodles they don't have too much detail instituted they have what I would decide as texture.
To The Moon -
Lone Survivor -
Inspiration for my game idea-
Amnesia -
I would like to incorporate the elements I love from amnesia into my game trailer . I think the best aspects of Amnesia are -
how you have no means to defend yourself, you have to run and hide, slow him down with tripping him up or closing doors so he has to brake thought them. I think this gives a different and new experiences to people as a lot of games today the aim to kill to services. Not back down and run for your life.
You never quite know where the enemy/monster is or where he could be roaming around. You only know once you've ran into him. I think this gives the game a seance of anticipation and suspense.
I also like how this game portrays fear within the character, in a lot of other games games designers show fear with sound effects and small moments - panting, heavy breathing, blood pumping quickly though the body, bigger chest moments when breathing. In Amnesia , the show the different levels of fear your character starts by heavy breathing, if you stay in the dark for too long he starts to grind his teeth the hallucination start to take place vision begins to blur and the character becomes disorientated. The final level of fear is fainting for a brief moment the character shuts down and collapse on the floor this ofter happend if you look at the monster for too long.

Stop Motion Animation -
I think is a very good example of stop motion animation, I like the fact they have used something as simple as putting on different tee-shirts to make an interesting and funny animation. I think this clip use of sound was also very good.
The key to a good Stop Motion is not to move the camera a tripod is a good way to avoid moment within your corresponding shots.
